I think besides shopping malls and brand stores you also should consider local fashion shops in HCMC. Vietnamese not only buy clothes in shopping malls, they also buy clothes in some shops which has variety of clothes with cheaper prices.
I suggest some fashion shopping streets. The streets are popular for having many many fashion shops side by side. You can also google map the streets in HCMC.
_ Đồng Khởi street, district 1.
_ Nguyễn Trãi street, district 1 and 5.
_ Lê Văn Sỹ street, district 3 and Phú Nhuận.
_ Cách Mạng Tháng 8 (or CMT8 for short), district 3.
_ Huỳnh Văn Bánh street, district Phú Nhuận.
besides the above information, there are many other brands: Blue Exchange, Ninnomax, PT2000. Many stores are owned by Vietnamese designers without any branch in other countries. Almost international brands in mall that u can find in ur own country. When u come here, u should take a look at local designs :)
Whatever they've said above. Good luck with your market research.
