Malacanang Palace and Museum, also known as the Presidential Museum and Malacanan Palace, is a historic building in Manila that serves as the official residence of the Philippine president. The building was purchased from the state in 1825; soon after a museum was opened to showcase some of the unique aspects of both the Malacanang Palace and the complicated Philippine history.
