5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Bangkok At Least Once in Your Lifetime
“Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you’ve never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok” – Tripadvisor –
Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is voted #18 of TripAdvisor Choice’s Destinations 2015 from all countries around the world and #4 from Asian countries from TripAdvisor, which is one of the world’s largest travel sites. Thus, it could be a creditable confirmation that Bangkok will NEVER EVER let you down once you visit this amazing city but surprisingly make you miss it so much you have to return instead.
Though I cannot even call myself a “Real Bangkokian”, with my 8-year experience of studying and living in this diverse city, still so far I have 5 main reasons why you should take a trip to Bangkok and here's the list!
1. “Bangkok Street Food” will NEVER EVER leave your stomach empty
As you may already know, Bangkok has a great reputation for being a hub of various kinds of tasty food from all around Thailand and the world. Apart from renowned authentic Thai food restaurants and other foreign restaurants, I suggest you try Bangkok street food once you stay in Bangkok. It’s cheap, tasty and incredibly easy to find. I mean there will be at least 1-3 food stalls on almost every corner of the street you go to. There are varieties of food for you to choose such as papaya salad (Som-Tam) with irresistible grilled chicken, grilled fish coated with salt (Pla-Phao), cooked-to-order dishes, Thai fried noodle (Phad-Thai), Thai milk iced tea and fresh fruits. If you don’t really care much about gaining 3-5 kg in a week, you can enjoy eating whatever you want when here in Bangkok.
2. Bangkok has various transportation options that fit your travel style
